Rosehill Industrial Estate wins 2007 Australian Sustainability Award
The ING Real Estate industrial development team in Sydney has won the API Thakaral Holdings Environmental Development Award in recognition of outstanding treatment of environmental issues in a development project.
This 21-hectare property, which is owned by ING Industrial Fund, was developed by ING Real Estate Investment Management Australia Pty Ltd. Completed in 2006, the project includes six buildings with 74,000sqm of office/warehouse accommodation.
Rosehill embodies initiatives in environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, reclamation of contaminated lands and leading-edge technology to create an innovative long-term environmentally-friendly development. In June 2007 it was also honoured with the Property Council of Australia Bluescope Buildings Award for Business Parks.
“We are delighted with this second major award for Rosehill Industrial Estate. The Australian Property Institute (API) Environment Development Award shows ING Real Estate to be a market leader and reinforces our commitment to creating environmentally sound outcomes in the industrial property sector," said Robert MacKay, Director of Industrial Development.
"Rosehill Industrial Estate has now won awards from the Property Council of Australia and Australian Property Institute. Both awards recognise outstanding achievement in delivering financially rewarding and socially responsible investment..." added Paul Toussaint, CEO, ING Industrial Fund.
