ING Real Estate Community Living Group (ILF) is a listed property group on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) specialising in seniors and student housing communities.  As at 30 June 2008, the portfolio comprised 126 seniors and student housing properties and offers diversified investment across Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA.

Strategy

  • We aim to consistently achieve high occupancies by developing and investing in housing communities situated in growth corridors and areas of limited competition.
  • We aim to become a successful owner and operator of senior communities by partnering with key offshore joint venture partners.
  • In Australia, we have the capabilities to develop, own and operate both rental and DMF senior housing.
  • We aim to continue the delivery of the Fund's development pipeline to drive long term profit growth.  

Investment performance

As of 30 June 2008 ILF has achieved:

  • distributable income per unit of A10.7 cents;
  • distributions per unit of A11.0 cents;
  • total assets of A$1.2 billion; and
  • maintained a development pipeline of 3,000+ units across the portfolio.
