Dr. Lynn is Managing Director of Research & Investment Strategy at ING Clarion. His 14-member team is responsible for providing market intelligence, new market and product identification and development, portfolio management, and investment recommendations firm-wide.
Dr. Lynn has 20 years of experience in research, investment strategy, property development (sourcing, structuring, entitling, and construction), equity investment (acquisitions, underwriting, and disposition), product design and portfolio management in the Class A multifamily, retail, office, mixed-use, hotel and industrial sectors in the United States and major international markets in Asia, Europe and Latin America.
Dr. Lynn is a member of the ING Clarion Investment and Operating Committees. He is also an advisor to the ING Clarion Global Opportunity Fund. He joined ING Clarion in 2007.
Education
Dr. Lynn holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics specializing in Financial Economics, where he also earned an MS specializing in Finance. He obtained his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Sloan School of Business, where he was a Sloan Fellow. He earned an MA in Regional Planning from Cornell University with a specialization in Real Estate. He received his BA in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley.
He is a Counselor of Real Estate (CRE), a Homer Hoyt Fellow, a Certified Portfolio and Investment Manager (CPIM), a Chartered Management Analyst (CMA), an ISO 9000 Auditor, and a Certified Auditor (AICP). He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (Council and Advisory Panel member), National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and the American Real Estate Society (ARES).
