The 4.1 ha Old Perth Markets site was purchased by the Perth Markets Joint Venture and subdivided into five separately titled lots. One of these was sold to the RACWA and led to the successful completion of the RACWA Corporate Headquarters, under development agreement with the Perth Markets Joint Venture.
The Perth Markets Pty Ltd Joint Venture comprises ING Real Estate Development Australia and The Lewis Land Group of Companies.
The RACWA Corporate Headquarters comprises approximately 10,000 m² of office accommodation over 6 levels featuring three atriums between alternating floors and 125 car bays.
The base building has achieved a 4 star NABERS rating.
The building was also the winner in the “Office Development” category of the 2009 Rider Levett Bucknall WA Innovation & Excellence Awards.
