Waterfront City is a world class retail, attractions, residential and commercial precinct located only 2 kilometres from the City, in Melbourne Docklands.
As the new gateway to Melbourne, Waterfront City provides a highly accessible location featuring a super tram stop on the doorstep, direct access to CityLink and major arterials, integrated taxi/bus stops, direct water transport, extensive bike and pedestrian links all within walking distance to Southern Cross station.
Status
Construction of Stage 1A of the project comprising the waterfront piazza, marina, retail and commercial suites is complete.
The Stage 1B retail component, Harbour Town shopping centre, and the first residential stage of 104 homes is complete, with a total of up to 746 homes proposed to be built in future stages.
Stage 2A retailer Costco Wholesale is also complete.
The Icehouse is complete.
The Southern Star observation wheel in Stage 1C is temporarily closed.
Waterfront City has the capacity to provide the business community with up to 80,000 square metres (GFA) of commercial accommodation or further retail facilities.
